Small bench top steam sterilizers cannot be tested with a Bowie-Dick Test pack. Therefore EN 867-Part 5 and ISO 11140 defines a Helix PCD based Steam Penetration Test as an alternative for the Bowie-Dick Test.
Famos designed a red lid for the Helix PCD device and marked the chemical indicators with red, not to let any mix-up with lot control PCD and indicators.
