Famos’ Self-Contained Biological Indicator (SCBI) for STEAM is specifically designed for the monitoring of vacuum assisted steam sterilization processes at 121°-134°C and the gravity displacement steam sterilization cycles at 121°-123°C.
The ampoules contain Geobacillus Stearothermophilus spores on a filter-paper carrier as well as growth media. The population of the spores are 10E6.
Each ampoule has a chemical process indicator to differentiate processed and unprocessed SCBI's.
Famos Self-Contained Biological Indicator (SCBI) for EO is specifically designed for the monitoring of Ethylene-oxide sterilization processes.
The ampoules contain Bacillus Atrophaeus spores on a paper filter carrier as well as growth media. The population of the spores are 10E6.
The Dual Incubators for SCBI have a capacity for 16 ampoules and are suitable for STEAM and EO by means of a temperature switch at the bottom of the incubator.
Steam: The incubation time for STEAM SCBI´s is 24 hours at 56±2°C.
EO: The incubation for EO SCBI´s is 48 hours at 37±2°C.
Incubators are suited for 220V, 50Hz.
